Lincoln Park
Long Beach, CA
Lincoln Park, located in Long Beach California, is the city’s first park established in 1880, before it closed in 2016 due to the construction of a new civic center. After 6 years, the park re-opened with sense of community. The residents of Long Beach had a big influence on the development of the new park, providing input on events and programs such as lawn games dog training classes, dance classes and fitness classes. The various amentities included in the park are an accessible playground, skate park, dog park, fitness equipment, a turf sports field, and so much more.
Amongst Lincoln Parks 2022 upgrades was the lighting. Both the Selux Lonova Catenary and Olivio Sistsema were selectively added in the park. The Lanova Catenary was hung on cables and attached to the supporting poles, allowing for light to be focused where it was needed leaving other places in shadow and creating a beautiful dramatic effect. The high performance Gen5 optics create excellent visibility and provides a sense of saftey and security. The Lanova Catenary promotes well-being and a pleasant environment, perfect for a community setting like Lincoln Park. The Olivio Sistema provides atmospheric lighting to the space. Having each pole with a various number of luminaire heads arranged in a staggered positions, creating a highly impressive, purposful, and attractive visual accent to the park.
