Inula Bollard when sophisticated, enviromentally friendly pathway luminaire with zero uplight is needed
PROJECT
Bailey Student Center
Dallas, Texas
The Bailey Student Center at the Dallas Theological Seminary is a hub used to help acclimate and integrate multiple aspects of each students lives. This new seminary chapel is home to a 500-seat auditorium, catering space for students and special events, and an office for the division of student life. All created with the intention to foster a community and support academic programs. Led by Robert Riggs, the construction of this state-of-the-art facility was meant to take a more modern approach to a classic style of architecture.
The $14 million chapel, which was completed during the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic, incorporates sleek and durable exterior lighting. The Selux Inula Bollard was perfect for the theme of this project because it’s a modern fixture that allows you to put light where you need it. In this case, when night came, an environmentally friendly way was needed to illuminate the pathway to the student center. In addition, it contains an IP65 and IK10 rating, meaning it’s built to last in harsh environments. Due to zero uplight, Inula Bollard was the best choice to light up the walkway while still preserving the night sky.
