Angry Orchard Cider House
Walden, NY
Angry Orchard is nestled in the heart of the Hudson Valley in Walden, New York. Like many of the orchards in the area, Angry Orchard’s apple farm has an extensive history. It has been a working farm since the 1700's and the first apple trees planted here date back to the 1920's.
In 2015, Angry Orchard Cider Company, LLC. purchased the land to transition the orchard back to a working cidery for their handcrafted apple cider. Angry Orchard collaborated with Architect Matthew Bialecki and they turned this apple farm into a world-class, sustainable working cider house brewery. In keeping with the history of the orchard, Matthew used a classic agricultural architecture with many modern touches throughout his design. Selux Beta Pendant style fit his theme of classic with a modern twist and was the perfect lighting fixture for Angry Orchard's landscape. Beta Pendant provides the perfect amount of glare-free light distribution which contributes to their welcoming environment.
It is now the flagship home for the Angry Orchard brand of hard apple ciders. Visitors from all over come to enjoy the farm, the Cider House's interactive museum on the history of cider-making in America, as well as the Tasting Room, and the Cider Store.
