Alvarado Square
Albuquerque, New Mexico
Alvarado Square went through a large renovation and expansion including the remodel of the Bernalillo County Government Building. The renovation included the remodel of the main Alvarado Square building and the construction of a new building for the County Commission chambers. The new cutting-edge 12,000 sq. ft facility is adjacent to the existing building. It is designed to be a great meeting space for the public, holding up to 200 people. The first phase included a remodel of an employee health clinic, a gym, café, & rescue phones. The next phase included a rooftop designed for social gatherings, a reconfiguration of the customer parking lot, and installation of LED lights throughout the center. The exterior pole mounted lights used throughout is the Selux Mistella®.
Mistella® was a perfect choice for this project. The simple geometric form allows it to adapt to both, new modern renovations and the traditional existing buildings nearby. Mistella® integrated perfectly into the newly remodeled architectural setting. The designers of Alvarado Square decided on the 12ft. Selux Mistella® with the Selux signature GEN5 LED light engine (with proprietary silicone optics) at the appropriate lumen output and distribution for the application. The superior performance and balanced distribution provide a sense of security for anyone gathering or walking at night. The Mistella® used throughout the Square was also painted in Selux standard white finish from our Tiger Drylac certified facility, fulfilling the architectural appeal and overall look of Alvarado Square and Bernalillo Government Building.
